The quality and safety of waste and recycling containers made of plastic is regulated within the framework of RAL-GZ 951/1 via product standards, dimensions and tolerances, volume specifications, their useful mass and serviceability tests, as well as design specifications.
The Quality Control Association has made it its task not only to increase the quality of these products beyond the legal and normative framework, but also to ensure the quality of company-specific services, social components and aspects relevant to sustainability and the environment.
We are pleased to inform you about the successful completion of the extension procedure for the implementation of an annex to the RAL-GZ 951/1 quality assurance.
The Statutes of Gütegemeinschaft Abfall- und Wertstoffbehälter (The Quality Control Association of Waste and Recycling Containers) are now being published in summarised form as part of a compendium and contain the following documents:
- Quality and test specifications for mobile containers for waste and recycling materials together with an annex
- Implementation Regulations for the award and use of the quality mark for containers for waste and recycling materials
- Articles of Association of Gütegemeinschaft Abfall- und Wertstoffbehälter e.V.
- Contribution regulations of Gütegemeinschaft Abfall- und Wertstoffbehälter e.V.
- Certification mark regulations for the quality mark for containers for waste and recycling materials
- Compliance guidelines of Gütegemeinschaft Abfall- und Wertstoffbehälter e.V.
The revised quality assurance has been jointly developed by RAL Deutsches Institut für Gütesicherung und Kennzeichnung e.V. within the framework of the principles for quality marks in a recognition procedure, also with the involvement of the specialist and trade circles concerned.
